We are planning to do our project on Global Village, a internet web show produced and created strictly by mass comm students here at SIUE. We plan to do it in a podcast format, with a set up using both cameras and microphones. We’re going to ask about the planning, preparation, and production of the web show and get some insight into what it’s like being a production major in college. Through a podcast format, we can dive into what Global Village creators do and their success stories, as well as their failures. I think this is considered newsworthy because it is interesting and kind of motivating to see and hear what students can create and kind of get a since of raw potential. In my opinion these are students with big aspirations in the creative/production field and it can be nice to see where they are right at the beginning, before any big breakthrough.
