Some people might read about celebrity relationship toxicity in the latest fab and gab magazine, but we want to discuss these behaviors from the perspective of journalists and those looking for a deeper than surface-level answer to the question: What Are Celebrities Doing?
Our mission on the podcast is to explore and try to understand the actions of those in the public eye. How does social media influence these actions and the way we perceive them? Instead of just being another gossip podcast, we plan to examine current pop culture events and discuss the impact on the public, and even debate accountability. We will have multiple episodes with a variety of topics within celebrity culture but we will also touch on current political and social news.
For this specific episode of our podcast we did a deep dive into a celebrity affair scandal. The specific scandal we covered in this episode was the recent cheating scandal from the Try Guys.
The Try Guys were formally made up of four men, who created Youtube videos of them trying all kinds of things. The Try Guys have always been praised for being unproblematic, until fans across social media started picking up on things. Fans discovered that one of the Try Guys, Ned was having a workplace affair. Ironically, Ned’s whole persona had been about how much he loves his family and wife.
In this episode, we not only discuss the scandal–but we also try to analyze the impact on the social world.
