Project Idea: Podcast

Project Subject: New and upcoming restaurants around the Edwardsville area. 

Podcast Name : Unwanted Opinions

We both decided that we would do a podcast about the new and upcoming restaurants around the Edwardsville area, and how this is going to change the town of Edwardsville for either the better or worse.

We will talk about each restaurant that has been brought to the Edwardsville area in the past year or so, and the restaurants that are planning to come to the Edwardsville area. 

Restaurants like HiPointe, Drunken Fish, Kimchi Guys, Blue Violet, Chick-fil-a, Moe’s, Olive Garden, Firehouse Subs, Hawaiian Bros, Clementine’s Creamery, and Epic Brews.

Intro- We both will introduce ourselves, and a few things about us, just to bring the audience in, and make them feel somewhat comfortable with us, and hopefully establish some sort of relationship with our listeners.We will then  introduce the topic that we will be discussing.

2nd. What we are going to be talking about

3rd. The most popular item at each of these establishment

4th. What each of these establishments are known for

5th. What kind of foods are served at each of these establishments

6th. What foods that we like from each of these establishments

7th. What we are most excited to try from each of these establishments.

Reasoning: This is an important news story because it will bring awareness to residents, and locals around Edwardsville who may have not known that these restaurants were coming. This news story could also bring awareness to potential jobs from the college that is located in the Edwardsville area.

Conclusion: Overall this a great topic in our opinion because, it is being light and awareness to the new business that are being brought to the area. We both love food, and felt that this topic is something that is interesting to both of us. We’ll close out the podcast just saying how we felt about each of the restaurants, and possibly which is our favorite, and some of the dishes that we would recommend to the our listeners. We will not sway one way or another, but we will give our honest opinion about one of the items that we have tried from the restaurant, or we can say things coming from word of mouth, explain the first or second hand experience that we have had with the restaurant in question. We alos will read some reviews that we find online about that said company, These reviews could be from local people if the restaurant is a small franchise, or the review can be from someone hundreds of miles away, leaving their review on a company that has a long listening of franchises.
